AGAPANTHUS

Long lasting, large striking flowers.

πŸŒΈπŸ”· Agapanthus Cut Flower Care Guide :

1. Trim the stems: β€’ Cut 2–3 cm from the bottom of each stem at a diagonal angle with a sharp, clean knife or scissors. β€’ Re-cut every 2–3 days for better water absorption.

2. Use clean, cool water: β€’ Fill a clean vase with fresh, cool water. β€’ Agapanthus stems are sturdy and need consistent hydration. β€’ Change the water every 2–3 days.

3. Remove lower leaves: β€’ Strip any foliage below the waterline to prevent bacterial buildup.

4. Use flower food (recommended): β€’ Add a commercial flower preservative to extend vase life. β€’ Optional: 1 tsp sugar + a few drops of lemon juice or vinegar.

5. Provide support: β€’ Use a tall vase to support the long stems and large, rounded flower heads.

6. Place in a cool area: β€’ Ideal temperature: 10–20Β°C. β€’ Avoid direct sun, heaters, drafts, and ripening fruit (which emits ethylene gas).

7. Remove faded florets: β€’ The individual florets on the bloom head may fade at different times β€” gently remove spent ones to keep the flower looking fresh.

8. Vase life: β€’ Agapanthus typically lasts 7–10 days, sometimes up to 2 weeks with proper care
