🌼🌿 Freesia Cut Flower Care Guide:

  1. Trim the stems: • Cut 2–3 cm off the stem bottoms at a diagonal angle with a sharp, clean knife or scissors. • Re-cut every 2–3 days to maintain good water uptake.

2. Use fresh, clean water: • Fill a vase with cool, clean water — Freesia is sensitive to bacteria. • Change the water every 1–2 days.

3. Remove lower leaves: • Strip off any leaves that fall below the waterline to prevent rotting and water contamination.

4. Add flower food (recommended): • Use a commercial flower preservative to extend vase life. • Optional mix: 1 tsp sugar + a few drops of lemon juice or vinegar.

5. Place in a cool, bright area: • Ideal temperature: 10–16°C. • Avoid direct sunlight, drafts, heaters, and ripening fruit (which emits ethylene gas that shortens vase life).

6. Let buds open naturally: • Freesias open slowly. To encourage blooming, place in a bright room (but not in direct sun). • Once open, move to a cooler spot to extend freshness.

7. Vase life: • Freesia typically lasts 5–7 days, sometimes up to 10 days with excellent care.
